London’s City Counsel engaged Abbott to provide Cost Management, Life Cycle Costing, and Troubled Project Recovery for the complete renovation and upgrade of the 1971 City Hall Building. By project close-out, the building had successfully gone through complete MEP upgrades and asbestos abatement. By making the decision to renovate floor by floor, normal day-to-day activities could continue throughout the construction period and building façade upgrades.
Following the City Hall’s renovation, Abbott undertook the enhancement of the adjacent underground parking garage promenade, with a full green roof system – enriching the environment and reducing solid surface area!
